New date to be arranged for fixture against the Gas

Reading's fixture at home to Bristol Rovers has been postponed due to call-ups for international duty over that weekend.

International selections for three or more players for the international break in selection offers clubs the option to postpone their matches during the period, as per League One rules.

As a result of the club opting the exercise this option, the Pirates' visit to the Select Car Leasing Stadium will be postponed from Saturday 9 September to a new date, which will be arranged and announced in due course, along with any relevant ticketing information.

That means we'll have to wait a little longer before welcoming Rovers back to RG2 for the first time since 2001... on their last visit, it was Jamie Cureton who netted the game's only goal for the Royals, to defeat the club he'd signed from the summer before!

Nations are in the process of informing clubs and players of their selections for the forthcoming September break; we will soon release full details of which Royals have been selected and what's at stake over the break, once countries begin to announce their squads.
