International fintech firm giving backing to the Royals!

Reading Football Club are pleased to confirm that secure international financial technology firm and digital wallet specialist, Rapidz, will continue as our Official ‘Back of Shirt’ Partner for the men’s first team for the next two years.

Rapidz embarked on their partnership with The Royals in 2020 and have been ever-present on the back of our blue and white hooped shirts since.

Rapidz reimagines the digital finance/payment experience and propels the crypto ecosystem to a broader audience. The company offers to both merchants and users the ability to have an all-in-one finance platform to access blockchain finance, with the recently revamped Rapidz Pay App now being available on both iOS and Android.

And now we can announce that the men’s first team home and away shirts will continue to bear the brand of the Singapore-founded financial technology company until 2025 – and furthermore, the club will be working with Rapidz to launch a new, free, digital reward programme for Reading fans which will include the opportunity to win URZ tokens. The tokens can in turn be redeemed for tickets, hospitality, and various money can’t buy Reading FC experiences.

The above reward exercise will take place through the Rapidz App Wallet and will bring utility and spendability to blockchain tokens within the Reading FC ecosystem. Additional features of the App will allow users to enjoy easy-to-use payment and crypto purchases at the lowest rates – enabling users to send and receive crypto as effortlessly as sending an email.

As well as the Rapidz brand being visible on the back of our men’s first team shirts for all league and domestic cup matches, it will also be displayed on the pitchside advertising within the stadium bowl, on interview backdrops and across the club’s digital and social media platforms.
