Yet the difficult spell of fixtures continues with table toppers Chelsea next to play, and Chambers has made it clear what she expects from her side on Sunday evening.

“We know what a quality side Chelsea is. We know how hard it's going to be in terms of we've got to be extremely resilient. That's one thing I know my side is.

“They’re fighting to win a title. They've got a bunch of winners in their changing room. They'll all be wanting to get maximum points out of out of this game.

“There's no hiding I think there'll be coming into the game knowing that it will be a tough fixture and we've got to live up to that first and foremost with our performance and a bit like the home game.

“We've just got look for us. We have just got to be resilient defensively and then see what we can do. It's going to be a tough encounter with the way they performed at the weekend, and that score line, which reflected their performance, and they were very, very ruthless in front of goal.

“So yes, we're not hiding from the fact it'll be difficult but for us, it's a case of stepping up to the occasion and probably stepping up higher than what we did in the home game because they are now playing for something extra, maintaining top position and a part of them thinking back to December.

“Looking back to December, the girls know how hard they work to get that result. So they know what it's going to take.

“Obviously we haven't had the run of form that we had going into the home game, but for us in terms of our performances over the last couple of weeks, we've been happy in terms of building and keep progressing those in areas we've probably needed to be a bit more clinical.

“We need to make it as hard as possible. But also when we're in possession how do we cause Chelsea problems, to try and get something in the game.”

“We’ll fight, give it everything, and that’s the minimum I expect.”
