All match tickets bought for our birthday game will automatically become valid for a rescheduled celebration game against Coventry City in February!

The postponement of our 150th birthday fixture is doubly disappointing because we had so much planned at the Select Car Leasing Stadium this weekend.

A big crowd was expected, entertainment had been booked and a whole host of festivities had been planned, tailored to a large number of local school children and young grassroots footballers who had eagerly taken us up on our 150th birthday ticket offer.

However, this celebration will not be cancelled! Just postponed.

The show must go on!

All home tickets for our 150th birthday game will now automatically be transferred to our home fixture against Coventry City on Saturday 12 February 2022 instead.

This game is the closest home weekend fixture to the 150th anniversary of our very first competitive game - played against Reading School on 21 February 1872 at the Reading Recreation Ground (now King’s Meadow).

So when we said ‘you only turn 150 once’…we were wrong! We’re going to officially celebrate our 150th in February instead!

Our birthday celebration postponed… but the occasion won’t be cancelled!
